Salem, OR - Stumps, largediameter round wood, storm debris, land clearing wood and other wood residuals can all be processed into valuable biomass feedstock utilizing West Salem Machinery’s (WSM) electric Titan horizontal grinding systems. Stumps and other residuals are initially fed to WSM’s severe-duty disc screen to remove dirt and rock. This step reduces wear on the Titan grinder, saving on maintenance.
Large and bulky material is easily processed to an approximate four-inch minus by the rugged and reliable Titan grinder that features a 54-inch diameter by 72-inch wide rotor assembly with hammers with each having a weight of 198 pounds. The unit is equipped with reversible and replaceable tips to further reduce maintenance time and expense. The pivoting grinder housing allows for easy maintenance access to the rotor and screens.
The system provides an operator to utilize more wood residuals turning them into valued biomass feedstock with lower maintenance, lower operating costs, and longer machine life.
